Good bye

I’m sorry for my lack of attention here over the past month. But there were certain events going on and I wanted to be absolutely sure before posting any more.

Lilley Press is closing its doors.

Due to extenuating family needs, the publisher cannot keep the company going. All rights are being reverted back to the authors and artists who have worked with us.

It’s a sad time for us all.

Some of us are setting out to stay in touch through Claw and Quill Writers Guild. Please join us there if you like.

#lilleychat twitter discussions

Things are a little crazy this month, but we’re going ahead with the chat sessions.  With a few members in Lilley Press being sick in addition, the Wednesday chat is informal.  I know I’ll be there, posting and watching and if anyone wants to chat, I’ll chat back.  One or two Lilley Press authors may make an appearance too.

This Sunday’s chat session will happen right before #writechat.  Many of the Lilley Press team likes to participate in it, so we do not want to interfere with their times.

The schedule is as follows:

Hashtag for chat:  #lilleychat

Wednesday, Oct 21, morning times:
10:00 am Central
11:00 am Eastern
9:00 am Mountain
8:00 am Pacific

Wednesday, Oct 21, afternoon times:
2:00 pm Central
3:00 pm Eastern
1:00 pm Mountain
Noon Pacific

Sunday, October 25th times:
Noon – 2 pm Central
1-3 pm Eastern
11-1 pm Mountain
10-Noon Pacific

Hope to see you there!

Lilley Press Twitter Chats

Beginning in October, Lilley Press will have one or two chat sessions on Twitter per month.  Tomorrow, we will be testing it out for a short one hour chat session introducing ourselves.  Anyone is welcome to join us there!

Lilley Press Chat on Twitter

#lilleychat

Introductory Chat Session

Thursday, October 1st, 10-11 CST  (GMT-6)
see http://www.worldtimezone.com/ for your time

Instructions for following through http://www.twitter.com:
Sign in on your account
In search box put #lilleychat
Thread will change to the chat discussion and you may follow there
To post to the chat, put #lilleychat at the beginning or end of your post…it will use 11 characters of your post.

Instructions for following through http://www.tweetchat.com
Sign in with your twitter information
Enter #lilleychat for the chat room
Post right from the thread…no need to add #lilleychat when using this app

Instructions for following with http://www.tweetdeck.com
Open application
Use search icon to find #lilleychat
A new column for it will show up and will update as chat posts are made
Post to the chat with the same rules as the twitter site, placing #lilleychat at the beginning or end of your post

The easiest to use is tweetchat and what I suggest.  I have multiple accounts, so I use tweetdeck to keep an eye on all of them and then also have tweetchat up at the same time for the chat I’m following with no problems.  Tweetdeck is an application that has to be installed.  Tweetchat is a website you sign into without installing anything.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lilley Press brings its E-books out in print beginning with the first release in August, 2009.

Lilley Press will offer their books in print as well as E-book, beginning with the debut print edition of THE STILL LIFE OF HANNAH MORGAN by Lora Deeprose. The title is scheduled for paperback release in August, 2009.

Lilley Press publishes E-books by authors from various countries and in various genres, such as paranormal romance, fantasy, science fiction, horror, mainstream fiction, historical fiction, and young adult.

Jeff Johnston started Lilley Press in October of 2007 as a tribute to his daughter. Pulling from his own desires as a writer, he’s brought together a team devoted to building a fulfilling relationship with the authors that Lilley Press publishes. With steady growth and loyalty to the writing craft, this small press promises a bright future.

“Publishing Extraordinary Books” is Lilley Press’s theme, and they evaluate each submission to ensure the reader has an extraordinary experience from reading their books. The first novel to print, THE STILL LIFE OF HANNAH MORGAN, is a testament to this dedication that Lilley Press has towards both its authors and its readers.

“THE STILL LIFE OF HANNAH MORGAN is a story of how one’s dream, seemingly unreachable due to circumstances in life, sometimes has a way of coming around to you and becoming realized when you hold on tight. This page-turning romance brings you close to the main character, Hannah, and has you returning at every possible moment.” Review snippet by Diana Cacy Hawkins.

Additional information about Lilley Press, full catalog of their books, link to the discussion board, submission guidelines and more is available at http://www.lilleypress.com.
